Exporting Data

Data can be exported from CES WEB to a number of finite element packages.

To export a record's data :
  1. Locate the material of interest, and display its datasheet.
  2. At the top of the datasheet, click 'Finite Element Export' (if this is not present, no Finite Element Export can be performed).
  3. Choose a format to export to (eg. NASTRAN).
  4. Follow the instructions for the selected package.
  5. It will be possible to change the unit system for export.
  6. Click 'Save As Data File' to save the export to a file.

The following Finite Element packages are supported :
  • ABAQUS 5.1
  • ANSYS 5
  • COSMOS
  • NASTRAN
  • PATRAN 2.5
  • ProEngineer
